J. Timothy King is a software veteran, having been developing software since the 1980's and developing for the web since the web existed. His expertise is in designing software that reliably meets it requirements, both now and going forward, including automated code testing, test-first development, refactoring, designing for maintainability, and working with legacy code. In one project, he refactored a 465-line legacy function, creating an architecturally sound design, in order to safely add new features, without introducing additional bugs, by using automated unit-testing. Tim is skilled in Perl, PHP, Javascript, and other programming languages, in Internet protocols, in SQL, and with popular Internet platforms, including WordPress and Drupal. Tim runs several of his own websites, including a personal blog, writes and publishes his own books, and on weekends plays bass guitar.
